What are we watching?
Re: What are we watching?
Quickie reviews from The Brat of Fury:
Last Night in Soho
Rating of Scoot: MEH
My first Neutral rating: Watchable, but don’t pay for it. Supernatural thriller with love for 60’s
fashion that gets start-checking-your-phone boring in the middle
Clifford the Big Red Dog
Rating of Scoot: DIMES
Big doggo makes a surprisingly good film and wags his way into my heart
Eternals
Rating of Scoot: POOP
AWFUL. Marvel Comic's dumbest storyline somehow made even dumber. This movie’s so bad I walked out on it

Eternals was meh. It did manage to explain all of my questions and complaints from the trailers, and it was pretty to look at. But the audience we had, between The Narrator behind us and Mr Blind Us With His Phone in front, it was made even less fun.
It seemed to be a very long movie, just to set up the last bit. I would have preferred a series on Disney+.
I was wondering about Last Night in Soho. I guess next out is Ghostbusters?

Eternals Spoilers:
The whole 'Earth is an egg' plot was originally an eye-rollingly bad explanation for the existence of the world-eater Galactus, whose nom-nomming may destroy a planet, but if the species was evolved enough, it would have emigrated off its eggworld and joined the galaxy whatever something bla de bluh.
I had to Wiki the ending of Eternals and its extra scene because I walked out on it after the Hiroshima nuke bit -- I couldn't take any more of the "Oh we're perfect and beautiful and politically correct and diverse and can easily fix the world but we won't trolololol" bullshit. Plus, the movie didn't do what I wanted it to do: introduce Galactus and lay the groundwork for the Silver Surfer and more importantly, the Fantastic Four.
Next up is the Turkey Day movies! New Ghostbusters, Disney's Encanto, New Resident Evil, and House of Gucky.

Devlin’s girlfriend wants to see House of Gucci. It looks very good, but it also seems like something that would have been better as a series. There just seems to be too much there for a movie.
And the Clifford movie, of course. She’s a doggo person. Devlin never cared much for those books, he liked Curious George.
And I definitely want to see Ghostbusters.

Re: What are we watching?
The first three eps were ok, definitely seemed to hit its stride by ep 3, so I'll stay tuned in.

Oh, I liked season 1 of The Great! And there’s What We Do In the Shadows. And Hit Monkey. I guess it’s time to get hulu again.

Apparently s2 of The Great dropped at once. I'll have to slowly dive in.

Re: What are we watching?
WOT started to vastly improve by ep 4. Hard to believe Season 2 of Witcher is out in less than two weeks.

Saw Dune in the theater last weekend. It's WAY better than watching it a home... less distractions.
