Constantine 2 is in the works, says Satan

Want to talk about some nifty piece of media that isn't Neil-related? This is the place to do it.

Constantine 2 is in the works, says Satan

Okay, I actually liked Keanu Reeves' Constantine movie. Sure, it wasn't the same character as the comics, but I think it worked well. I wonder if they'll go ahead and make the sequel actually R-rated, unlike the first one where they tried their best (and failed) to get a PG13...

The three DC Animated Universe cartoons Constantine stars in nails the character pretty good.

Justice League Dark
Constantine: City of Demons
Justice League Dark: Apokolips War

I'd like it if someone filmed a scene of Matt Ryan/Constantine, Keanu Reeves/Constantine, Sting/inspiration for the comic book look of Constantine (IIRC), and maybe combined with animated Constantine, and put them in some bar/pub between universes...

(I will admit I wanted to post this thread because the thread title was irresistible to me)

In the comics, in a DC alternate universe Constantine is trying to save the world in the follow up to DCeased, DCeased: Dead Planet, and (in the Black Label Universe?) Lucifer is forcing Constantine to retrieve something he gave up in the old Sandman storyline. :o

Constantine the movie is to Constantine the comic book as 50 Shades of Gray is to Twilight.

I'm unsure how to take this analogy given my very low opinion of both of those series.

This amuses me, but it doesn't work because Constantine the movie tries to AVOID the r-rating, whereas Twilight: The Sexening was like, can we maybe get this thing x-rated?

Okay so.... Yeah I'm just now reading the article, so what?... So if they're bringing back Peter Stormare and Keanu Reeves (dare we hope for Tilda Swinton) AND going for an R instead of a PG-13, this has promise. And it's not like the original wasn't fun
