*wanders back in and finds an out of the way table; sits down*
*takes the proffered drink with a smile, drinks it*
*stares moodily at the empty cup*
*looks as if he is about to say something, but thinks better if it*
*signals the friendly wait staff for another drink*

"Decaf this time, if you could. Thanks!"

Decaf? Are you out of your mind?

Thanks Beez, but I'm already having too much trouble getting to sleep, especially in the last couple years of October 2020...

I'm trying not to think about it. I saw a miniature "caravan" yesterday, just a few trucks, but the lead truck had so many flags I wondered how it wasn't taking off into flight
after all, we only get the one life to defile

I saw one yesterday too. Thankfully they were on the other side, heading the other way. But the caravan was going so slow that I thought there had been an accident, and then I thought it was a funeral procession, and then I saw those stupid flags.

The next few days are going to be difficult.

Got the Early Voting out of the way, now maybe I can just pull the pillows over my head, right?

I use a car service, and one of the drivers was giving free rides to the polls, and any tip $$ he made was being given to the homeless.
So, Spawn and I called him, and the man is a goddam GENIUS, took us over northside, which had the smallest line.
In and out in a little more than an hour, and we made sure that there will be a happy homeless person. Or, happier. Wish I could just fix things.

*takes a break from working and pours himself a bourbon on the rocks, then takes a seat at the bar*

*big sigh*

These next few days are going to be rough. Hope you all are holding up.

I just...eh. Really afraid of this lame duck session.
We have businesses boarding up windows again in case of everything blowing up.
I don't sleep, and then I sleep too much. I don't do well without a job.
Bah.
I can do this. WE can do this.
