Two turntables and *tap tap* ...is this thing on?

Post by Crow Girl »

What’s spinning on your turntable tonight? I’ve got the local classical music station playing now but earlier I was listening to a few Motown records.

Classical music station. I think current is Mahler Symphony #2

Earlier today was the Bardcore rabbit hole on YouTube. It amuses me.

We were playing Leo some tangentially Halloween related songs like I Want Candy, and now thanks to YouTube algorithms I’ve got You Spin me Right Round stuck in my head.

It's mostly J-pop tonight. Like this, for example. It's a Japanese artist covering a pop song from the 80s...click the link without looking and see if you can guess the song before she starts singing :D

(I promise it's not a Rickroll.)

The Strokes on SNL last night were pretty good. And John Mulaney is a treasure.

The last track I listened to was Alma from the score to Phantom Thread by Jonny Greenwood. Spotify’s Cinematic Chillout playlist is superb and about 25% of my listening time is spent on it.

Chuck! Hello! *waving furiously*

Today it got dark at 4 and it's cold and windy... definitely the evening to finish work with some Bon Iver.

Anyone see Miley Cyrus's cover of "Heart of Glass"?

I might be a Miley Cyrus fan.
